Overview:
In May 2017, I took over the leadership of the Music Cities Convention brand and led its international growth over the following nine years.
The platform focused on how music & culture can support economic development, tourism, placemaking and community wellbeing.
During this period, the platform expanded from four editions to fourteen events across five continents, establishing itself as the globally leading conference series for music policy and music tourism. The brand successfully expanded into Asia, Oceania and the MENA region, while further strengthening its position across North America and Europe.
Under my leadership, the events evolved from single-day conferences for around 150 delegates into large-scale, multi-day international gatherings welcoming more than 500 attendees, with expanded programming, networking and city engagement activities.
I oversaw all aspects of the brand’s development and delivery, including international business development, host city partnerships, programme strategy, speaker curation, production & delivery oversight.
